Many of our junior teams and clubs will be forming in the next few months.

We have many good junior programs in the Delta Region however, clubs differ in the type of programs they offer. Before you commit to a team or club we strongly recommend you find out more about all the clubs in your area. Talk to the club director. Ask about the fees. Who are the coaches? Are the coaches certified? Are the coaches registered with USA Volleyball? Does the club have the proper tools to provide the athletes an opportunity to receive scholarships? Will the team have a regular practice schedule and planed tournament schedule. Are there any hidden costs, like out of town tournaments, travel and lodging. Will the team play to win using only the top six or seven players while others sit on the bench or will the team play all the players (win or lose)?  How much will the team travel?

The USA Volleyball Delta Region fee to register a Junior player is $35.  All additional fees go to the club to operate the program, pay coaches, tournament entry fees, etc. Players should register directly with USA Volleyball and pay the $35 membership fee only once.  The athlete may tryout for as many teams as she wishes, but each club may assess a separate tryout fee.  The athlete should print out a copy of their on-line registration and present at each tryout session if needed. The best way to learn more about a club and understand what is going on is to volunteer or help in some way with the club.
