Follow the steps below:

1.    Join USA Volleyball and the Delta Region.  This gives you access to all of the training materials.

• Create a SportsEngine account and then purchase a membership for $34.50
• After you have purchased your membership, complete your annual background screening for $14.  It can take two-three weeks for screenings to be completed.
• Take the annual SafeSport training (included in your membership).

2.  Login to your SportsEngine account .  Click on the button titled USA VOLLEYBALL  ACADEMY to complete the training & certification tests.  (Detailed instructions for accessing academy training and certification tests from your account is available here. )   You can take additional courses on your own to get a better understanding of the rules.  The Academy features videos to help with techniques.

3.  Get the official officiating uniform.  Blue slacks and solid white shoes with the official shirts.  You’ll need a good whistle, lanyard and penalty cards.

4.  Sign up to officiate USAV volleyball tournaments through AdvancedEventSystems.com

You can work events with an experienced mentor (generally without pay) and get some hands-on training.
