To purchase a USA volleyball membership, you are required to have a SportsEngine account.  

Follow the steps below to purchase your membership.

IMPORTANT NOTE: A family will only have one SportsEngine account. A parent/guardian must create the account as the primary account holder must be 18+ to sign waivers and purchase memberships.

• If you already have a SportsEngine acccount login to your account at sportsengine.com.  (You might be logged in automatically if your browser has cached/saved your login credentials. Come back to this page and proceed to Step 2 to purchase your membership.
• If you need to create an account follow the instructions below.

The PARENT/GUARDIAN is the one who will create a SportsEngine account. Once the account is created you will be able to add junior athlete(s) during the membership purchase step. 

If a family has multiple players, they can all have their membership information in the same master account, using one set of login credentials (called a "family account").  

How to Create a SportsEngine Account

1. Navigate to sportsengine.com.
2. In the upper right-hand corner of your screen, click Sign In.
3. Enter the Parent/Guardian's email address and click Next.
4. Fill out all the requested information using the Parent/Guardian's personal information.
5. Once complete, click Sign Up. 

Verify Your SportsEngine Account

1. Navigate to your email inbox.
2. Open the "Activate Your SportsEngine Account" email.
   • NOTE: If you do not receive this email within 5 minutes, be sure to check your junk/spam folder.
3. Click Activate My Account.

PURCHASING A MEMBERSHIP FOR THE CORRECT PERSON:
SportEngine uses a Quizzard to allow members in the DELTA REGION to find the right membership for them based on how they plan to participate. 

Once the Parent/Guardian clicks the link below to purchase a membership, they will be prompted to choose "WHO is this membership for?" 

This will pull up all of the profiles within their account.  The parent/guardian should be listed first at the account owner, followed by any existing children (sub-profiles).  If you have just created an account or your child's profile is not displayed then choose the option to "ADD CHILD".

Once you have selected an existing sub-profile or clicked the "ADD CHILD" option you will be prompted to add/update their required information. (Information will be pre-filled from any existing sub-profiles.)

The following information is required to purchase a Membership for the player:

• Player's First Name, Last Name, Gender

• Players's Date of Birth, Email (if they have one)

• Player's Address 1, City, State, ZIP, Country

PURCHASING THE CORRECT TYPE OF MEMBERSHIP:

In the Quizzard, memberships are suggested based on the members Date of Birth, Gender, Role and Duration of Participation.  If you do not see the correct membership being offered for purchase, then you may have entered an incorrect date of birth in the profile. (View membership categories.)

• Date of Birth will be used to determine the correct Junior vs Adult Memberships to display. 
• Roles such as Player, Coach, Team Manager, Official can be configured in conjunction with the Date of Birth to display the correct Memberships. 
• Duration of Participation can be configured to differentiate between Full and Limited Membership options.

Gender will not typically be used to determine a Membership, but can be used in pricing variations to adjust the amount due if needed. The Quizzard will use a combination of the Date of Birth, Role & Duration to suggest memberships for the member to purchase. 

PURCHASE USAV MEMBERSHIP IN THE DELTA REGION:

Make sure you are logged into your SportsEngine account then CLICK HERE to PURCHASE your USAV membership in the Delta Region.

CHECKOUT :  When you get to the checkout page, you will see two “transactions” that equal the total membership price.  One transaction represents the fees going to Delta Region, and the other represents the fees going to USAV.   You will also see two separate charges (totaling the amount of your membership) on a credit card statement. 

ADDITIONAL STEPS TO BECOME FULLY ELIGIBLE:  After a membership is purchased, you will receive an e-mail outlining any additional steps necessary to become eligible to participate.  For adults, or players that turn 18 before their membership expires, this may include a required background screening or SafeSport certification, etc.  Your account will also show these steps. 

Note for 17 and 18 year old players: Any junior player who is 18 years of age or will be turning 18 years of age by 8/31 of the year their membership expires will be required to complete SafeSport training to become eligible to participate.  

 Any adult who is affiliated with junior volleyball program in any capacity will be required to complete an annual USA Volleyball background screening.  

Background screenings will be a separate purchase, done after your membership purchase is complete.  You will automatically receive a link via e-mail to purchase a background screening if you need it. 

USAV background screenings must be completed on an annual basis.

As a rule, the Delta Region will not refund membership purchases. Special cases of hardship and injury prior to using a full membership will be examined on a case-by-case basis.

If a refund is approved, credit card service fees will be applied. Any membership refunds will be pro rated based on the length of utilization. 

A club must invite you to join their club. This will be followed up with an email to confirm you want to affiliate with their club. This process must happen before a player or coach can be placed on a roster.  

A player may be asked to join several clubs. Finding the right club for your son or daughter can be a daunting task. If you are new to club volleyball you will want to find out as much information as you can about the clubs in your area before you make your selection. First of all, it is a serious commitment of time and money. Once a player agrees to be affiliated with the club the player is then added to the team roster. A player cannot change to another club once they have been added to a club roster until the end of their club season-which is usual after the GJNC in July.  Click here to view the complete Transfer Policy. 

While most clubs strive to allow as many athletes the opportunity to participate as possible, unfortunately not every athlete will be afforded an invitation for that particular year.

Athletes who do not make a program should not be discouraged. Delta Region Clubs value hard work, determination, and improvement over time. Every year is a new tryout year and Delta Clubs look forward to athletes trying out in the following year and working to make a program.
